Privacy Policy

What we collect

Your email address and password (or Google or Apple account identity) for sign-in; your username, display name, and optional avatar; your games, moves, ratings, MOVE Points, and notifications; and, if you enable push notifications in the iPhone app, a device push token used only to deliver them. We hash invitation tokens and IP addresses used for rate limiting — raw values are never stored.

How it is used

Solely to run Chessorro: authenticating you, pairing games, keeping score, and notifying you when it is your move. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Where it lives

Data is stored with Supabase (PostgreSQL and authentication) and the app is served by Vercel. Passwords are hashed by Supabase Auth and are never visible to us.

What others see

Your username, display name, avatar, and ratings are visible to other players (for example on the leaderboard and in games). Your email is never shown to other players.

Your choices

You can edit your profile at any time, and delete your account yourself from the Profile page — this removes your sign-in, email, profile, notifications, and devices immediately, while finished games remain in your opponents' histories under an anonymous name. You can also email support@chessorro.com from the address you signed up with and we will remove it.
